About Nelsons Wine Bar

Nelsons is a plant based wine bar, restaurant and venue in Hebden Bridge West Yorkshire. Situated in the basement of the old coop building NWB has been integral to the fabric of the town. Providing an inclusive space for LGBTQI + friends. Rising and reinventing after numerous floods Nelsons continues to create a community hub for locals, families and friends and provides a welcoming space for visitors.

Plant Based Goodness

Established in 1997 originally as a vegetarian wine bar, we have now switched up to being a solely plant based bar and restaurant. Using quality seasonal ingredients supplied by local growers we serve natural whole foods with flair and creativity in a casual setting. Dining at Nelsons will stimulate your mind as well as your taste buds and we believe it will change the way you view vegan cuisine and encourage conscious eating. All this is served in a in a casual, friendly, positive environment that makes for a great night out.

Non Binary Winery

All our wines and beers are vegan, we have a great selection of organic, low intervention and biodynamic wines and an ever evolving Natural wine list. We stock a wide range of local beers and ales and have a fine selection of European drinks available.

Events & Djs

We have weekly DJ events covering all bases from jazz, soul, reggae, disco house and anywhere in between. Special guests have included, Greg Belson, Hash Fingers, John Haycock (live Cora & electronica) and the Jazz botherer to name but a few.

Too Many Dogs

We love Dogs and they are very welcome.
However, when we have loud events on, we ask that dogs leave by 9pm
